Barcelona players reportedly want Kluivert to replace Setien

Barcelona star Messi and other 'players believe that the Dutchman is the leader Barca need.

Mundo Deportivo reporter Cristina Cubero claims that there is a possibility that Patrick Kluivert will be in charge of Barcelona in the Champions League clash against Napoli next month and Barca dressing room are keen on the idea.

The players see Kluivert as a 'true standard-bearer for the Barca model' who is also a true leader capable of motivating the dressing room and adding intensity and character to the Blaugranas' game.

Kluivert both has 'excellent' relationship with Barca's 'sacred cows' and knows the youth well because of his work at La Masia.

The Dutchman is believed to be capable of further developing Frenkie de Jong and giving Ansu Fati the protection he needs.

As for his managerial credentials, Kluivert previously worked with Twente reserves, coaching them to a title, Curacao national team and also was in Louis van Gaal team, that led the Netherlands to the third place at 2014 World Cup.

The final decision can only be taken by president Bartomeu.
