Barcelona vs Osasuna Preview, Betting Tips and Odds

Barcelona vs Osasuna predictions for Thursday’s match in La Liga.

Barcelona won 1-0 at Valladolid last time out and remain a point behind Real Madrid, but the league leaders still have a game in hand on the Catalonians. Osasuna ran out 2-1 winners at home to Celta Vigo at the weekend, keeping their hopes for a top-half finish alive. Osasuna rescued a point late on when they played host to Barcelona back in August, despite taking the lead in the 7th-minute.

Torres handed Osasuna an early lead against Barcelona but second-half strikes from Fati and Arthur saw the visitors take the lead. With 9-minutes left on the clock, Osasuna was awarded a penalty which Torres converted to make the final scoreline 2-2. Barcelona head into the pairs’ latest clash as the form favourites with four wins and two draws from their last six matches but Osasuna has also been in decent form of late.

The hosts have won 21 of their last 35 games against Osasuna
Our prediction for a home win-to-nil on Thursday has plenty of statistics to back it up. Barcelona has won five of their last seven games against Osasuna and has kept clean sheets in three of the duo’s last five encounters. The hosts have won 16 of their 18 home games and are yet to lose at the Camp Nou this season, while Osasuna has already lost seven times on their travels.

Barcelona has kept clean sheets in 44% of their home games this season and has won-to-nil in 39%, while Osasuna has failed to score in 33% of their away games and have lost-to-nil in 28%. The visitors have failed to score in four of their last eight away games, while Barcelona has kept clean sheets in seven of their last ten outings in La Liga.

We’re expecting a comfortable 90-minutes for the Catalonians
in terms of a final scoreline, we’re predicting a 3-0 win for the hosts. Barcelona have scored three or more goals in four of their last six matches against Osasuna and beat their guests 7-1 when the pair last met at the Camp Nou. Barcelona scores an average of 2.83 goals per home game and only concede an average of 0.78 goals, so you can see why we’re backing a final scoreline of 3-0 this Thursday.
