Benzema wins Real Madrid player of the season award

Karim Benzema has been named as Real Madrid’s Player of the Season by Futbol Mahou for his heroics in our 2019/20 La Liga winning campaign.

Mahou is a famous Madrid-based Spanish brand of beers who are also a major sponsor for Los Blancos.

Speaking after winning the trophy, Benzema said: “I am proud of this trophy because it comes from the people and the fans and that is why it is important to me.

I am very happy and it motivates me to do more things on the field. It has been a special League, before, during & the end.”

The Frenchman also won Futbol Mahou’s Player of the Month award back in September and has now won the Player of the Season award in consecutive seasons after scoring 21 goals in Madrid’s league-winning season.
