Chelsea star ruled out of the season with Knee injury

According to reports, Frank Lampard will be unable to call on the services of young midfielder Billy Gilmour after the English lad picked up a knee injury that will see him miss the rest of the season.

Chelsea are already without the services of N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic after suffering minor hamstring and Achilles problems respectively and are expected to miss the heavyweight clash against Sheffield United this weekend.

Gilmour is already an integral part of the Blues squad at 19 and Lampard showed massive confidence in his ability when he played the young lad ahead of the most experienced Jorghino during the 3-2 win against Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

Jorginho will likely to start away at Brammall Lane on Saturday against United as Chelsea battle to hold on to third spot and secure a UEFA Champions League spot for next season.

Gilmour will now miss the semifinal game against Manchester United in the FA Cup, the last-16 match away tie at Bayern Munich and the four remaining premier league fixtures except there’s a miraculous recovery.
