Eden Hazard: Surely this is the worst season of my career
In Hazard first season at Santiago Bernabeu, the ex-Chelsea star has not made the kind of impact he was hoping for.
"This year, it's the group that won this title, because at the individual level, I have surely had the worst season of my career," Eden Hazard told Franceinfo about his first season with Real Madrid.
"The season has been a little bizarre, with everything that's happened. It's already a good season, but I think it can be even better if we go through to the Champions League quarterfinal."
Hazard joined Real Madrid a year ago after seven highly successful seasons with Chelsea. He has not been as prolific is Spain yet, though, as he's only scored 1 goal and registered 5 assists in 21 games with Los Blancos.
Of course, his campaign was heavily impacted by injuries and fitness issues: even since after the lockdown ended, Hazard missed a couple of games due to niggles.
