Ex-EPL star Emmanuel Adebayor reacts after leaving Paraguayan club

Former Premier League striker Emmanuel Adebayor has reacted after leaving Paraguayan club Olimpia for just less than five months at the club due to complications thrown up by the new coronavirus.

The 36-year-old only played four games after a highly publicized arrival and didn’t score a goal as he was sent off in his Copa Libertadores debut against Argentina’s Defensa y Justicia after kicking an opponent.

Adebayor had an unsuccessful five-month stint that was cut short because of the coronavirus outbreak worldwide.

The 2008 African footballer of the Year took to his Instagram handle to reacts to after quitting the reigning Primera Division champions for the 2020 campaign.

Adebayor scored 97 goals in the Premier League after a spell at Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspurs, and Crystal Palace before he departs for Istanbul Basaksehir on 31 January 2017.
