Liverpool ‘Agree’ Thiago Alcantara Transfer, To Part Company With TWO Stars

Liverpool 'Agree' Thiago Alcantara Transfer
Liverpool will definitely be signing Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara in this summer’s transfer window.

But the Reds may have to part company with some first-team stars in order to balance the books amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Thiago’s contract is winding down in Germany, and he has been in discussions with the Reds over a €35million (£31.5m) switch.

According to Spanish publication SPORT, Liverpool would rather spread the payments out to sign Thiago, rather than part with one lump sum.

Thiago is considerably cheaper at around £30million, but would still offset the books given the fact he’ll be handed big wages.

Liverpool will therefore be looking at who they can offload from their roster, and one name perhaps at the top of the list is Naby Keita.

Georginio Wijnaldum earns considerably less, just £75,000-a-week.

Jurgen Klopp appears to be a big fan of the utility man, but Wijnaldum is 29 years old now, and the Reds may look to move him on this summer to cash in on him, what with the transfer for Thiago looking likely.
