Liverpool showing interest in Schalke defender Ozan Kabak
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have asked about Schalke's highly-rated centre back Ozan Kabak.
The talented 20-year old is a great tackler of the ball who is solid in the air and he's touted for a great future.
He is being eyed by the Reds as a replacement for Dejan Lovren, who is heading to Russian club Zenit St.Petersburg.
The reputable German football source Christian Falk affirmed Liverpool's interest in Ozan, saying that 'there is a concrete interest from LFC' for the centre-back.
The Bundesliga side are struggling financially and face the prospect of selling some of their top young players, and Ozan is right up there as one of their most prized possessions.
However, Schalke have reportedly put up a £40 million price tag on the player's head which would be too much for Liverpool right now with the Reds not expected to spend a lot of cash this summer.
