Man Utd set to offer Greenwood bumper new deal

Manchester United are set to reward Mason Greenwood a bumper new contract.

The Mirror says Greenwood is set to cash in again on his growing influence at Old Trafford with a new double-your-money deal.

The teenage United tyro, who only signed a contract that hiked his wages up from £800-a-week to £25,000-a-week nine months ago, will be handed another major pay rise after a stunning breakthrough season with the Reds.

Greenwood are ready to offer him a new deal that will see him virtually double his money again – with hefty bonuses and annual pay-rises built into the terms of the contract.

The 18-year-old has scored 16 goals this season.

That has left him just one strike away from equalling a record shared by three Old Trafford legends.

Only George Best, Wayne Rooney and Brian Kidd and Wayne Rooney have scored more goals for the club as teenagers, all hitting the net 17 times.
