Manchester United to miss £70m if fail to secure Champions League spot

Manchester United finances would also be affected if they fail to qualify for the elite competition.

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United will lose a staggering £70m in potential revenue by failing to qualify for the Champions League.

Currently, United are placed third in the standings but are also level on points with Chelsea and one above Leicester City.

Anything less than a win against Brendan Rodgers' men will jeopardize their chances of a top-four finish - and also wreak havoc on the club finances.

Additionally, the Red Devils will miss out on £20m from the kit deal with Adidas since there's a clause that will reduce our annual £75m fee if they don't qualify for the Champions League in two consecutive seasons.

But there is also a chance of Manchester United making it to the top four by winning the Europa League
