Marcus Rashford plans to become global superstar after Jay-Z link-up

The Man United striker Marcus Rashford has 'trademarks name in America', and could earn him millions in the foreseeable future.

Man United forward Marcus Rashford has 'trademarked his name in America' as he's planning to become a global superstar, according to The Sun.

The news comes after the 22-year-old signed a contract with Jay-Z's Roc Nation management firm last month.

The Englishman's application to the US Patent and Trademark Office has been accepted and will be published in America’s Trademark Official Gazette on Tuesday before being approved, as per the UK tabloid.

“This is a smart move,” The Sun's source said. “It protects his image rights in the US and shows that Jay-Z is keen to make the American audience more aware of Marcus as a sportsman and a socially aware role model.”

Rashford's on the pitch heroics are no secret to anyone while his recent charity work have made him the youngest person to receive an honorary doctorate from the University of Manchester.

President of Roc Nation Sports International, Michael Yormark, says Marcus is the "shining example" of the firm's focus of "protecting and defending those that can't protect and defend themselves".
