Paul Scholes defends De Gea after Chelsea howler: He will be back

Scholes has reminded everyone about De Gea’s immense contribution towards keeping us afloat during tough times.

The Spaniard has come under fire after his poor performance in the FA Cup semi-final.

Writing on his Instagram after Man United’s loss to Chelsea, Paul Scholes wrote about David De Gea: “Yep, he’s having a bad time. But without him United wouldn’t have finished in the top 10 the last 6 years.. he’ll be back!”

De Gea has come under a lot of criticism for his mistakes against Chelsea, especially a horrible one when he made an amateurish error on Mason Mount’s goal.

Even Ole Gunnar Solskjaer agreed that the Spaniard should’ve easily saved the shot but the way he's been praising De Gea in recent weeks suggests that Ole is not considering dropping him.

The Spaniard will be looking to redeem himself with a bright performance against West Ham United on Wednesday, the win in which will take the Red Devils into the Premier League top-4 spot.
