Real Madrid Named Jorge Romero as new coach of Real Madrid U19

Jorge Romero is set to be named new coach of Real Madrid U19 and is to  arrive from Alcorcon B, where he guided the side to within just a point of promotion to the Segunda B.

Alcorcon had hoped that Romero would continue to lead the B team in the Tercera Division but, on Thursday, the club announced his departure due to his desire for a new challenge.

Romero joined Alcorcon last summer from Cordoba, where he had spent the previous decade.

In his first and only season with Alcorcon B, he came mightily close to promotion, with just one goal separating them from a win that would've seen them go up a division.

His efforts and methods, however, didn't go unnoticed by Real Madrid, who hope he can achieve big things with the U19 side.
