Real Madrid to raise €100m from selling youth team players

Real Madrid finances are in turmoil and the club are planning to offload a number of players.

According to AS, Real Madrid are set to offload a number of academy starlets to generate €100m as the club's finances continue to dwindle.

Earlier, we'd reported that club officials are planning something similar for the first-team as well.

By selling players like Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Brahim Diaz, to name a few, Los Blancos are aiming to raise an additional €200m.

Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez are believed to have reached an understanding about being unable to splash millions on signing new players in the ongoing transfer window.

Meanwhile, the club's players may have to continue taking pay cuts as Madrid deal with the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic.
