REVEALED: Manchester City Defender Set To Play For Super Eagles

Though the attention of many is on Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka for now, incoming reports suggest Nigeria has beaten England to another promising player in Tosin Adarabioyo.

It is understood that the Manchester City loanee is only awaiting FIFA clearance to complete his switch of nationality, following his decision to pledge his international future to Nigeria.

According to reports from England, Adarabioyo has accepted to play for the Super Eagles despite previously representing England at youth level.

The 22-year-old, who was born to a Nigerian father and English mother has 15 caps for England youth teams.

The centre-back, who is currently on loan at Sky Bet Championship club Blackburn Rovers is highly regarded by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola as an integral part of the future of the team.

Adarabioyo spent last season on loan at another Championship club West Bromwich Albion.

This season, he has scored twice, one of which was a wonder goal in 27 league appearances for Blackburn Rovers.

Recall that recently, Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria also committed his international future to Nigeria after previously representing the Three Lions at the Youth Level.

It is indeed safe to say, coach Gernot Rohr now has multiple choices but he would need to do more in managing the resources he has to get the best of results.

One of the best results expected from the Franco-German tactician is winning the next African Cup of Nations now shifted to 2022 but still taking place in Cameroon
