Romelu Lukaku match Ronaldo record after scoring brace for Inter Milan on Saturday

The Former Chelsea striker was unwanted at Man United, but he's blossomed under Antonio Conte.

Romelu Lukaku played a key role in Inter Milan's 3-0 win over Genoa on Saturday, scoring the first and the third goals of the night.

With this brace, the 27-year-old took his tally up to 23 goals in Serie A, the most he's scored in the league since his last season at Everton.

Moreover, no Inter striker scored as much in his first year at Giuseppe Meazza since Ronaldo: the iconic Brazilian netted 25 goals in the 1997-98 campaign.

Of course, Lukaku will have two games to beat this record: the Nerazzurri will take on Napoli and Atalanta in the remaining games.

However, he's not going to become the top Serie A goalscorer this season: Lazio's Ciro Immobile already has 31 goals to his name, with Juventus' Cristiano Ronaldo a single goal behind.
