Sassuolo vs AC Milan Preview, Betting Tips and Odds

Sassuolo vs AC Milan predictions for Tuesday’s Serie A clash.

Sassuolo braced for Europa League six-pointer
Sassuolo’s unbeaten run continued at the weekend, but the surprise Europa League chasers will be disappointed to have dropped two points at Cagliari on Saturday.

This leaves them with a mountain to climb if they want to jump into the top six, and with AC Milan currently occupying that 6th position with an eight-point advantage, this represents a real six-pointer in the race for European qualification.

Sassuolo comes into this game unbeaten in eight matches in Serie A, a run which includes excellent results against Inter Milan, Lazio and Juventus. They have scored an impressive 21 goals in this run, but with 15 goals conceded they clearly have some work to do at the other end of the pitch.

Milan extend impressive unbeaten run
AC Milan has a similar record, unbeaten in their last nine competitive games and coming into this game after a 5-1 thrashing of Bologna on Saturday. They have scored 25 goals in this period, but like Sassuolo have shown some defensive frailties.

The Rossoneri are without a clean sheet in their last four matches, and their last six Serie A away games have seen them ship ten goals. They have only won two of these six away days, so there is plenty of reason for Sassuolo optimism heading into this match.

The hosts have lost only one of their seven home games in 2020, winning four of them and scoring at least three goals in each of their last four matches at the MAPEI Stadium.

Goals galore expected at the MAPEI Stadium
Unsurprisingly, we’re predicting a tight match on Tuesday and the chances for a goal-filled game are high. At least four goals have been scored in six of Sassuolo’s last nine at an average of 4.56 goals per game, while six of Milan’s last eight outings have seen at least four goals scored, including each of their last four.

For this reason, backing Over 3.5 goals looks a great option and we’re also opting for a high-scoring stalemate. Three of Sassuolo’s last eight games have ended 3-3, including two of their last three home games. Both of these teams are hitting the back of the net regularly, so another six goal thriller is our correct score prediction.
