Suarez: I don't believe messi will leave Barcelona

luis suarez doesn't believe his best friend and attacking partner is going to leave anytime soon, mostly because of his family.

He feels that a winning project would definitely make Messi stay.

"I don't see Messi at a different club than Barca. He is comfortable and happy here," Luis Suarez has told Mundo Deportivo.

On his potential exit, the striker added: "Messi's family is delighted in Barcelona. Any potential decision on Leo's future will definitely depend on his family's well-being."

When asked what would make Leo sign a new deal, the Uruguayan replied: "Messi would like a winning project. He dreams of it."

Barcelona and Messi have been reportedly working on a new contract for several months already with Josep Maria Bartomeu repeatedly insisting the renewal is coming.

The captain's current deal expires in 2021
