Zidane is the reason for Hakimi’s transfer to Inter Milan

Inter Milan recently acquired Dortmund loned right-back Achraf Hakimi after an impressive season.

As per report, the main reason for Hakimi leaving Real Madrid was due to Zinedine Zidane

The addition of right-back Achraf Hakimi has been a major acquisition for Inter Milan given what the 21-year-old brings to the field. It has been reported that the reason Hakimi left Real Madrid was due to the club's manager Zinedine Zidane.

Per Goal.com, Hakimi’s agent Martin Camano shared that the right-back’s departure could be traced to Zidane.

“Zidane is the reason for Hakimi’s transfer to Inter Milan. He must explain why Hakimi moved,” Camano said.

In addition to this, the influence of Antonio Conte was also a driving factor for Hakimi’s choice in jumping to another club. The veteran manager was said to be always in contact with Hakimi as they discussed his role in the club’s long-term plan.

“I believe that when a high-value coach like Conte calls you and strongly insists on contacting you, this is evidence that he wants you to become an important piece in his project. His team represents him,” Camano added.

To add to these, Dani Carvajal’s spot in Real Madrid added a factor to the potential return of Hakimi to the club.

“I think that Hakimi’s return at the current time is not appropriate given the presence of a distinguished player like Carvajal and I’m sure that Hakimi’s future will be bright after taking this step forward,” Camano continued.

The past few seasons showed how Hakimi has been a consistent performer being on loan at Borussia Dortmund. During this stint, he was able to compete in a total of 73 appearances, scored 12 times and tallied 17 assists. In addition to this, throughout his entire career, he has also a passing success percentage of 84.9%.
