Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta voted FA Cup manager of the season by a landslide

Mikel Arteta side won 6 games, conceded 3 goals and lifted the cup on August 1 in their manager's debut season.

Arsenal's season has been a rollercoaster ride in the league: probably with more ups than downs. While Mikel Arteta steadied the ship since coming in, his side still lost 5 out of his 20 games in charge.

Where the Spaniard excelled, however, was the FA Cup. He took over just in time for the 3rd round opener vs Leeds in January and lifted the trophy almost 7 months later by getting the better of Chelsea.

The FA ran a fan vote on who should be crowned the best manager for their cup campaign: Mikel Arteta amassed a staggering 78% to claim the prize. Earlier the FA did the same vote for team of the season - 7 Gunners got in.

We couldn't be any happier for the Spaniard. In 7 months he's done something Spurs haven't done in 8 years: win a trophy. More importantly, though, this surely put a lot of credit in Arteta's bank from our ownership.
