On Saturday, after the win over Liverpool, the manager has assured that Arsenal are really close to extending the 31-year-old's deal.
When the striker was asked about renewing his contract, he replied: "We’re gonna see. Today, we take the trophy. We are improving and there’s still work to do.
But I’m really happy and it’s a really exciting time to be an Arsenal player."
As per the Telegraph, the Gunners are set to offer a deal worth in excess of £250,000-a-week basic salary plus bonuses, which will run until 2023.
