Barcelona duo Fati and Busquets return to Barca 5 days earlier than expected

Busquets and Fati arrived at the training facilities for the coronavirus tests this Tuesday while the other first-team players are only expected on Sunday.

Ansu Fati and Sergio Busquets showed up for the coronavirus tests this Tuesday, Barcelona have confirmed.

The duo decided to shorten their vacations as the first-team stars are only expected for the tests this Sunday, August 30.

They were joined by Carles Alena who had been on quarantine for two weeks after having contact with Jean-Clair Todibo who had tested positive.

Busquets could be eager to start the pre-season because he isn't guaranteed to remain the regular next season.

Ronald Koeman has reportedly assured the veteran midfielder that he's 'counting on him' but it's Frenkie de Jong who will play in Busquets' position.

As for Ansu Fati, the club will promote him to the first team and raise his release clause up to €400m after signing a new contract.
