Barcelona paid €989million for 23 new arrivals between 2015 and 2019 with a further €91m coming for this summer's signings.

Barcelona spent €989million on 23 new players since their latest Champions League triumph in 2015, Marca reveal.

Yet, the Catalans were unable to reclaim the trophy in these five years.

They spent the most money during the 2017-2018 campaign which saw Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho and three other players arriving for the total cost of €389m.

The 2019-2020 season was the season-highest in spending as the Catalans paid a total of €262m on the signings of Frenkie de Jong, Antoine Griezmann and Pedri.

Barca are still active on the transfer market after landing Miralem Pjanic and Francisco Trincao for €91m combined.

The Catalans are also reportedly interested in Lautaro Martinez who could possibly cost a further €100m yet the coronavirus pandemic may delay this transfer for a year.
