Barcelona lunch first bid for Man City defender Garcia

Barcelona have lodged a €10m offer for Manchester City defender Eric Garcia.

Mundo Deportivo says Barca's first bid is in and are now waiting for City's response.

With less than a year to run on his contract, Barca believe their proposal is a reasonable valuation, particularly knowing they can secure Garcia to a pre-contract from January 1.

For his part, Garcia wishes to return to Barca and has turned down City attempts to discuss new terms.

Newly called up to Luis Enrique's Spain squad, Garcia's full focus now is to re-sign for the Blaugrana.
