Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman reveals position he wants to play Antoine Griezmann in

Valverde used the Griezmann as a winger.
Setien, in turn, played him through the middle.

Koeman wants to get the most out of the 29-year-old's talents and to put him on a wing is not in the manager's plans.

"With all due respect, Griezmann isn't a winger. He needs to play where he has his entire life, showcasing all of his qualities," Barcelona new boss Ronald Koeman said in an interview with NOS Voetbal, as quoted by Sport.

"For that reason, I believe it's important that a coach knows his players and how to get the maximum out of them. That starts by playing them in their right position."

Thankfully, the Dutchman understood the fact that Antoine Griezmann is not suited for a winger role without even seeing him in training.

Ernesto Valverde, in turn, couldn't come up with such idea even after six months of work alongside the World Cup winner.

As a reminder, Antoine scored eight goals in 25 appearances playing as a left-winger this season. It took him seven matches less to net 7 strikes when he was used as a centre-forward.

Coaching is not in the talking, rather, it is in the doing. Barcelona needs you to turn words into actions for positive and favourable results.
