The youngster reveals that he is nervous to meet the new teammates.
"I start with Barca on 12 August. We'll see what happens. I want it to start now, and see if I can carve out a place for myself at Barca," our new player Pedri has told Post United. (h/t Diario AS)
"I'll try to stay with the first-team squad, play as much as I can and get playing time so that I can continue developing."
However, excitement isn't the only emotion the 17-year-old is experiencing. The midfielder has revealed that he is feeling nervous ahead of his first week at Camp Nou.
"It's normal for players to get nervous — especially meeting the other players there. Seeing as I've played in the Second Division and picked up a bit of experience I'll be a little more relaxed."
The plan is for Pedri to spend the pre-season with the senior squad and the club will then decide whether he's ready to stay. If not, he'll leave on loan.
The Spaniard had a good season at Las Palmas, scoring four goals and providing seven assists in 37 matches.
