Barcelona new coach Koeman backs Pedri and Trincao to stay with the first team

Koeman is known for trusting young players on his teams.

Pedri and Francisco Trincao have the 'full support' of Ronald Koeman to stay for the 2020/21 season with the senior squad, Diario Sport claim.

The new Barcelona coach sees the youngsters as integral members of the team and expects them to fight for game time with the rest of the players.

He will personally meet the duo in the coming days as he is expected to take over the training sessions.

As a reminder, Pedri and Trincao, alongside Moussa Wague, Oriol Busquets, Rafinha, Juan Miranda and Matheus Fernandes have started the pre-season on Thursday, August 13.

Jean-Clair Todibo and Carles Alena were meant to join them but are currently under quarantine at home.
