Barcelona new signing and wonderkid Gustavo Maia set to arrive in mid-August

Due to coronavirus pandemic which prevented the forward from joining his new team earlier but now the forward is ready to join up.

Even though Barcelona completed the signing of highly talented Sao Paulo forward Gustavo Maia in July, he hasn't joined the squad yet due to the coronavirus pandemic, Diario Sport explain.

The 19-year-old is now expected to join the Catalan giants in mid-August after completing all necessary health tests in order to leave Brazil and travel to Spain.

The club reportedly paid €4.5 million for Maia who is going to join Barcelona B.

The 19-year-old is described as a pacey forward with decent finishing skills and an eye for a pass.
