Barcelona reveal they still have faith in Dembele, transfer highly unlikely this summer

The Catalans remain hopeful that the French winger can return to his best if he plays regularly and stays fit.

Barcelona 'still have faith' in Ousmane Dembele which is why Josep Maria Bartomeu named him among the 'untouchable' players the other day, Diario Sport explain.

The Catalans are not giving up in the 23-year-old as they realize his three first years at the club were plagued by stress, pressure and injuries.

They believe the winger still has the ability to replace Neymar if he plays more regularly, avoids injuries and stays focused.
Finally, Barca are unwilling to sell Dembele because they would be able to recover just half of their total investment in the French star.

The Catalans paid €138m for the former Borussia Dortmund man in 2017, including the add-ons.

Yet, he has managed just 19 goals in 74 games in all competitions due to a series of injuries.
