Barcelona Set to lose wonderkid tip 'next Van Dijk' to Chelsea

Mbuyamba has left for free as he wasn't promoted to Barcelona B. 18-year-old centre-back has now left Barcelona after his contract expired in July.

Mbuyamba has been already described as the 'next Virgil van Dijk' yet the Catalans failed to ensure his stay.

The youngster wasn't promoted to Barcelona B which forced him to leave, according to Goal.

At first, Barca wanted to sell Mbuyamba for €2m but now he has left for free.

Now, five of the Premier League heavyweights have all made offers to Mbuyamba, the same source report.

Chelsea are the favourites to land the centre-back as he had had a trial there some years ago.
