Bartomeu: Messi still have 3-4 more years and will retire at Barca

Bartomeu is certain the Catalan giants are the only club for the Argentinian.

He reveals the captain has already made it clear he wants to continue at Barca.

"It's not just me who says it. Messi says it himself, that he wants to finish his professional playing career at Barcelona and it's the only club for him," Josep Maria Bartomeu has told beIN SPORTS.

"I don't have any doubt that when he finishes his football career in three or four years that it will be here in Barcelona.

Messi has it very clear. He's been here since he was a kid. He knows the colours and he's a part of the club's history."

The president concluded: "He's the best player in the world. Not just right now, but in the history of the game. He's at Barcelona and has made clear he wants to stay here."

Leo has a deal until 2021 but not so long ago, Cadena SER reported that the forward planned to see his contract at Barca expire and leave the club as a free agent.

Most recently, rumours started spreading about Leo's potential move to Inter Milan just because his father, Jorge Messi, decided to change his residence to Italy.
