Ceballos: 'If I had to choose Arsenal again, I would'

Ceballos has established himself as one of the most important players at Arsenal after the restart. He also says he has no regrets about joining Arsenal despite a difficult season.

Dani is happy to be in the current atmosphere of trust and respect, fuelled by the players and managers he's played with this season.

Dani Ceballos has made his last appearance for Arsenal in yesterday's FA Cup final - unless an agreement with Real Madrid can be struck - but the midfielder doesn't regret making the move to North London despite a rocky season.

"I have been very happy at Arsenal," Ceballos told El Pais. "Logically it is a season that will be marked by the pandemic…except for that, I have been very happy because the fans, the teammates and the two coaches that I have had have wrapped me up.

"If I had to choose Arsenal again, I would. Right now I feel like a leader of this important team, a player with stripes. Surrounded by people who believe in you, it is easier to believe in people. When you play like this and you also have the confidence of the coach, everything is easier."

Ceballos has been outstanding alongside Granit Xhaka since the restart and Mikel Arteta has been vocal about his desire to retain Dani beyond this season.

Much will depend on whether Arsenal can find an agreement with Ceballos' parent club Real Madrid - it appears the Gunners are close to securing the player on loan for another season.

Dani himself appears to be waiting on Real Betis to make an offer before deciding which way to go. With Matteo Guendouzi likely on his way out this summer, it would be sensible to keep Ceballos to avoid an additional transfer market headache.

But we won't have to wait long to see how it all pans out. With the cup final out of the way, we find ourselves with nothing else than the transfer window to deal with, at least for the next 4 weeks until the Community Shield game
