Chelsea keeper Jamie Cumming joins League Two club Stevenage on loan

This is the first loan spell for the Chelsea Academy graduate who frequently featured on the bench last season.

Jamie Cumming, who was Chelsea's third-choice keeper in the 2019/20 season, has joined League Two side Stevenage on loan, the Blues' website has confirmed.

This is the first spell away from the Bridge for the 20-year-old who's been with Chelsea since the age of eight.

"I think it is a fantastic opportunity for myself," Cumming told the official website of his new team. "The manager was very keen on getting me in and that was a big part of me signing here.

He has put a lot of faith in me and I am sure I will repay that. I am just really looking forward to getting started."

Cumming was part of the Chelsea team that won the FA Youth Cup in 2017 and 2018 and reached the final of the 2018 UEFA Youth League.
