Chelsea's technical and performance advisor Petr Cech speaks on Kapa future amid exit links

The shot-stopper had another disappointing campaign in 2019/20.

"Kepa struggled last season, that is unquestionable," Chelsea's technical and performance advisor Petr Cech told Sport.cz.

"But the club invested in him and gave him a long-term contract because they believe he has the qualities and attributes to be successful.

"Additions will be made to the squad, perhaps even in goal, and this is what is being discussed now. But nobody is giving up on Kepa and we all hope he has a great future."

The 2019/20 season was not a good one for Kepa indeed. The Spaniard conceded 58 goals in 41 games across all competitions, keeping just 10 clean sheets.

Besides, Kepa had one of the worst campaigns in the history of the Premier League in terms of save percentage. The 25-year-old made 55 saves, which is the fewest among all starting goalkeepers in England's top flight.
