David Luiz might have confirmed Willian Arsenal move

The Chelsea winger, who turns 32 today, penned an emotional farewell letter to the Blues.

David Luiz has posted a screenshot of his video call with the right-winger.

"Always together," wrote the Arsenal defender, possibly indicating his compatriot will join him at the Emirates soon.

Willian's move to the Emirates is all but confirmed as it is expected to be made official soon. David Luiz has hinted at the potential transfer via Instagram.

The centre-back has posted a screenshot of a FaceTime chat with the forward. One caption sees the Arsenal man wishing him well on his birthday while another reads, "Always together."

The duo used to be teammates at Chelsea for several years until August last year when the centre-back moved to the Emirates. They also used to play together for the Brazilian national team.

While David Luiz's words could be interpreted as a sign of friendship, it looks more likely that he has just confirmed a reunion with his friend and compatriot at Arsenal.

Earlier on Sunday, Willian wrote a heartfelt goodbye letter to Chelsea fans, thanking them for support and expressing his gratitude to the West London side, where he spent 7 years.

As per ESPN, the 32-year-old has already agreed a three-year contract with the Gunners.

Willian's stats for Chelsea (all comps):

339 games
63 goals
62 assists
