Dimitar Berbatov explains his fears for United if they meet Inter Milan in Europa League final

The Bulgarian believes United’s former players can come back to haunt them.

He insists that Young, Alexis and Lukaku will be vying for revenge and be extra motivated to defeat them, which can cause problems.

Speaking to Betfair on why he’s concerned for Man United if they face up against Inter Milan in the Europa League final, Dimitar Berbatov told Betfair:

“Lukaku is a concern for me, he's scored 23 goals for Inter this season which is a great achievement.

“I always said I liked him as a player, that if he got chances he would score goals.

He's very quick, and very strong, and his goal on Monday was spectacular. He's the main danger for whoever they play against.

“Inter also have Alexis Sanchez and Ashley Young, who will know United very well. If they play United in the final, these players will want revenge, to show United that they were wrong to let them go.”

It’ll be a daunting task for the Red Devils to defeat their former stars if they meet them in the final, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side can also prove why they were right to sell the three by defeating them in the final.

But before the final, United must defeat Sevilla in the semi-finals on Sunday, a match-up which is just as daunting knowing the Spanish’s side great record in the competition.
