Getafe's boss Torres: VAR made some errors in Madrid's favour

Getafe president Angel Torres has supported  Bartomeu claims and was partly right to hit out at the usage of the VAR.

He recalls some errors made by the technologies in Getafe's narrow loss against Real Madrid.

"Bartomeu was partly right in what he said about the VAR," Getafe's president Angel Torres told Mundo Deportivo.

He explained: "There were errors and some favoured Madrid, as in the match against us. There should have been three penalties in our favour. But the referee only gave one to Madrid."

Torres was referring to Blancos' narrow win against Getafe on July 2 which saw Dani Carvajal not punished for his foul in the opponents' box before winning the penalty later in the game.

It wasn't the first time the VAR was questioned at the end of the La Liga campaign as Real Madrid kept winning mostly due to questionable refereeing.

Josep Maria Bartomeu even publicly stated that the VAR always favoured the same team, hinting at Los Blancos.
