I Have no regrets Leaving Barcelona for Getafe: Former Barcelona Youth Star Cucurella

Despite a successful loan at Eibar, Barcelona didn't give Cucurella a chance at the first team.

The La Masia graduate doesn't regret joining Getafe.

"Coming here is one of the best decisions I've made, it's helped me grow as a footballer," Marc Cucurella has told Diario Sport about his Getafe move.

The La Masia graduate hopes to help his new team make history and reach the Europa League quarter-finals by beating Inter Milan.

"Apart from making history, it will do us good because we didn't have the end of the league season we hoped and if things go well in this game, we can make history and get over that.

"We've got a tough rival in Inter but we're going to make things difficult and play to our strengths, as we showed against Ajax in the last round and when we've played La Liga's top three."

After a successful loan at Eibar, 'Cucu' returned to the Catalans only to join Getafe a few weeks later. This term, the 22-year-old has registered one goal and six assists in 46 matches.
