Joan Laporta wants to bring Pep Guardiola back to Camp Nou if he is elected

Joan Laporta wants to bring Pep Guardiola back to Camp Nou if he is elected as president at Barcelona, Mas Que Pelotas report.

According to the Catalan coach's entourage, he likes the idea of coming back to his parent club.

The 49-year-old's contract with Manchester City runs out in 2021 and he isn't rushing to renew it.

The new elections at Barca are planned for next summer and Laporta plans to enter the race.

This means that Guardiola could be a free agent by the time the ex-president steps into office. (If he wins the elections, of course)

It was Laporta who appointed the Pep as Blaugrana's head coach in 2008; at the time, the board were offering Jose Mourinho's candidacy.
