Kilmarnock v Celtic Prediction,Team news and Odds

Kilmarnock v Celtic predictions ahead of this clash in this Scottish Premiership clash on Sunday. Will the Bhoys record another heavy victory?

Celtic looking strong
Celtic started their season in style last weekend, thumping Hamilton 5-1 to leap back to the top of the table. They are heavily backed for more success this weekend, as they head to a Kilmarnock side who aren’t enjoying the best 2020.

Celtic were in fantastic form across the whole of last season, winning 26 of their 30 games before the campaign was brought to an early end. They’ve started with another victory and they’ll be hoping to maintain that consistency as they try to book a 10th successive league title. With Odsonne Edouard still on board, we expect another comfortable win for the champions in our predictions.

Killie struggling at the back
The hosts kicked things off with a 2-1 loss at Hibernian last weekend, another match which saw their defence breached. Killie have shipped a goal in each of their last 15 Premiership matches. They shipped 20 goals in their final 12 matches of last season after manager Alex Dyer took charge, with his reign seeing them win three and lose eight of 12 Premiership matches.

That record means the hosts had the second-worst record since Dyer took charge as caretaker and then full-time boss. They picked up a point less than Hearts in that period, while this season has started with another defeat.

While they have plenty of problems, the hosts did at least score 14 times in their 12 matches under Dyer’s watch. As a result, we are expecting a high scoring clash at Rugby Park.

Bhoys look good for goals
The visitors hit another five goals last weekend, while they finished last term with 89 goals in 30 matches. They have struck at least three goals in nine of their last 11 Premiership matches, so we have little doubt that they’ll score here. However, with both teams scoring in five of their last seven league trips we’re backing both sides to find the net in this one.

Given Celtic’s scoring rate, we are also backing them to hit another three goals in this one. A 3-1 victory for Celtic is our correct score prediction, adding to Killie’s terrible record of late.
