Klopp to give Liverpool bench players chance to shine in pre-season friendlies

The likes of Loris Karius, Ki-Jana Hoever and Billy Koumetio amongst others could feature for the Reds.

Liverpool will face VfB Stuttgart today in what will be the first out of the two pre-season friendlies for the Premier League champions.

According to the Mirror, Jurgen Klopp is could give a start to bench players in the two games as the usual starters are expected to get a bit of time off.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are out injured and the likes of Neco Williams, teenager Billy Koumetio and Marko Grujic could start.

Loris Karius might also make his first Liverpool appearance since the 2018 Champions League final.

Kostas Tsimikas should make his first appearance in a red shirt at left-back too.
The game will take place in Austria at 4 PM BST.
