Barca new boss Ronald Koeman will have to hold his first Barcelona training session planned for Monday, August 31 without 16 first-team players, Diario AS report.

14 players will be away for international duty while Marc-Andre ter Stegen is out with an injury and Miralem Pjanic has tested positive for COVID-19.

Besides, it now seems that Leo Messi will also miss the training as he has refused to show up for Sunday's COVID-19 tests.

The players leaving for their national teams: Sergio Busquets and Ansu Fati (Spain), Clement Lengelt and Antoine Griezmann (France), Francisco Trincao and Nelson Semedo (Portugal), Frenkie de Jong (the Netherlands), Martin Braithwaite (Denmark).

Besides, Carles Alena, Pedri, Riqui Puig and Inaki Pena will leave for Spain U21 and Rey Manaj for Albania.
