Livingston vs Rangers Prediction, Team News and Odds

Livingston vs Rangers predictions for Sunday’s Scottish Premiership clash.

Gers chase commanding lead
Rangers haven’t put a foot wrong in the Scottish Premiership so far, with even their most unconvincing performance bringing a commanding win. The Gers weren’t quite at their best against St Johnstone in midweek, but they were able to record a 3-0 victory to stay out front as the pacesetters in the Premiership.

Steven Gerrard will want to take full advantage of Celtic’s enforced break in play, with Rangers able to move eight points clear of their rivals with a win against a Livingston side who have really struggled to match last season’s heroics. Given their respective starts, the visitors look set for a straightforward win.

Rangers a side to fear
The visitors have scored seven and conceded none in their perfect start, totals which should continue against a Livingston side who haven’t enjoyed their recent meetings with the Ibrox side. They’ve failed to score in five of the last six clashes between these two sides, matches which have seen Rangers claim six wins with an aggregate scoreline of 13-1.

Their friendly form suggested this kind of start was possible. The Gers beat Lyon, Nice, Motherwell and Coventry to nil in the warm up for the new campaign, scoring at least twice in each of those. With the visitors impressing at both ends of the pitch, we expect them to secure the points here in our predictions.

Daylight for visitors
Rangers have won their last two league games 3-0, which points to them landing a comfortable win in this clash. Livingston have lost two of their first three games, conceding seven times. They’re now winless in seven Premiership matches, with this season’s slow start suggesting they won’t get close to last term’s fifth-place finish.

With Rangers improving and Livingston heading in the wrong direction we’re backing a clear winner here. We’re going with Rangers with a -1 handicap in this clash, while our correct score prediction is another win to nil for the visitors. A 2-0 success is our pick on that market, with Rangers scoring 32 goals in their last 16 Premiership away trips.
