Luis Enrique speaks on giving Barcelona Ansu Fati his 1st senior Spain call-up

The 17-year-old could make senior debut for Spain in the upcoming matches against Germany and Ukraine.

La Roja's boss says Fati 'has everything to be an important player' for his side.

"I consider that Ansu Fati has enough level to be here," Spain manager Luis Enrique said.

"His numbers are excellent even though he hasn't played much. He has everything to be an important player. He has this in mind, and I want to see him train with us."

Fati's breakthrough season with Barcelona earned him his first senior call-up for La Roja.

The 17-year-old could make his debut for Spain in the UEFA Nations League clash against Germany and Ukraine in September.

Sergio Busquets is the only Barca player to join Fati in Enrique's squad.

"I have had no doubts about Busquets. He has to be on the list," ex-Blaugrana boss added. "Trust in him is maximum. For me, he is still very important player. he is the guy who always adds."

Spain face Germany away on September 3 before hosting Ukraine three days later.
