Luka Jovic will not travel for international duty to avoid missing Madrid pre-season first game

Travelling for the UEFA Nations League would've required him to undergo quarantine upon return.

According to a report by Marca, Luka Jovic will not travel for international duty with Serbia in the UEFA Nations League.

Doing so would require him to be in quarantine once he returns and he could end up missing the start of Real Madrid's pre-season training.

As a result, Jovic has managed to excuse his presence and will focus on returning to action for Los Blancos instead.

Despite strong exit links, the striker is expected to compete alongside Karim Benzema for the No.9 role next season.

Jovic played 5 times in the La Liga last term as he struggled with injuries. Hopefully, we will get to see him return to his best in the near future.
