Madrid set to 'demand' another salary cut from players amid Covid-19 crisis

The economic downturn triggered by the pandemic is here to stay.

As a result, the club's senior executives and staff are also expected to get reduced wages.

According to a report by Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid are set to demand another pay cut from their players to cope with the financial repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic.

Madrid's finances have been badly hit and the club will refrain from signing new players, with a strong focus on transfer sales to boost revenue.

However, this time, the club's top officials - including senior executives - and staff are also likely to undergo pay cuts.

In April, the players agreed to receive reduced wages but they may have to brace themselves for another one.
