Malmo vs Cracovia Krakow Prediction, Team News and Odds

Malmo vs Cracovia Krakow predictions for Thursday’s Europa League qualifier.

Malmo made it to the Europa League Round of 32 for the second season in a row last season, and on Thursday their journey begins again as they face off against Cracovia Krakow.

The hosts come into this game unbeaten in six straight competitive games and with five wins to their name over that period, and their Europa League pedigree will give them just as much confidence. They won nine of their 16 Europa League matches last season, including six of their eight qualifying fixtures and all four of their home qualifiers.

In fact, throughout the competition they won six of their eight home games and scored an impressive 23 goals on the way. They are justifiable favourites against a Cracovia Krakow side that have drawn two and lost two of their Europa League games since their debut in the competition in 2016.

Last season they were eliminated in extra time as they drew both matches against Slovakian outfit DAC, but Malmo pose a much bigger threat and the Swedish side should win this one fairly easily.

We are expecting goals as well. Seven of Malmo’s eight home games in the competition last season saw at least three goals, with them scoring exactly three on three occasions but only keeping three clean sheets. Five of their last six in all competitions have also been high scoring affairs, and considering their relatively frail back line backing a Malmo win and over 2.5 goals alongside a 3-1 correct score prediction looks a good choice.
