Manchester City boss Guardiola reveals what he told Zidane in post-match talk

The picture of two managers discussing something after City knocked out the current CL title holders went viral – and now Pep has lifted the lid on the subject of their conversation.

"I congratulated him for La Liga. I always said to win the league is the most difficult title because it shows 11 months being there," Pep Guardiola said when asked about what he and Zinedine Zidane spoke about after the Champions League clash between two sides on Friday.

"We spoke about our families and I wished him all the best. He was one of my idols when I was a player. I played against him in the national team with France and I suffered a lot.

"He was one of the greatest and as a human being he is an example and I like how he can represent our profession like he does."

Well, it appears none of our previous guesses has been proven right. Nevertheless, we're waiting for the quarter-finals: one-legged ties will certainly bring suprises and some interesting reactions from managers.

After all, Real Madrid's dominance in the Champions League has finally ended this season. No matter what you think about Man City after they got away from CAS, Pep and his side deserve a lot of credit for the victory over two legs.
