Marcelo send message to Real Madrid fans ahead of new season as his pre-season holiday comes to an end.

Real Madrid return to action next month and Marcelo is aiming to 'fight for every new challenge'.

With his pre-season holidays coming to an end, Marcelo wrote on Instagram: "Thankful to be with my family for a few days off.

"Fresh mind and body! Time to go back to work and like every year: fight for every new challenge!"

According to AS, the 32-year-old will remain an important first-team player at Real Madrid next season with this contract expiring in the summer of 2022.

However, Ferland Mendy is set to continue to be Zinedine Zidane's first-choice left-back after 'fitting in' with the Frenchman's style of play at the Santiago Bernabeu.
