Massimiliano Allegri leading the race for Inter Milan job if Conte walks

Massimiliano Allegri is favourite to take the Inter Milan job after last night's Europa League final defeat.

Sky Italia says former Juventus manager Allegri is the 'hot favourite' to take the reins at the San Siro if Antonio Conte does decide to part ways with the Serie A side.

Conte led Inter to second place in Serie A, finishing one point behind champions Juventus - who sacked Maurizio Sarri after they were dumped out of the Champions League by Lyon in the last-16.

Allegri was one of the contenders to takeover from Sarri before the job was given to club legend Andrea Pirlo.

The 53-year-old has been out of work since leaving Juve last summer. The manager won 11 trophies in five years but lost two Champions League finals.
